The past few years have been life changing.
Through personal education and networking, my goals, priorities, and mindset all changed for the better.
In 2016 I was making $44,000 a year while living in the most expensive region in the US. I HAD to make financial changes if I wanted to take control of my life.
Yes, I could've looked for a better paying job. BUT, I loved my job. I loved my co-workers. I had no intention of leaving just for more money.
So, I had to get creative.
Cue: THE SIDE HUSTLE
It's very basic. I worked from 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday. Which meant....I had weekdays from 5:30pm to 11pm and weekends to hustle and make more money.
I was "that guy" delivering fast food after work for Postmates. I was "that guy" delivering groceries with Instacart. I was "that guy" that downloaded obscure apps that'd pay me a minuscule amount of money for small tasks. I'm still "that guy" grabbing motorized scooters around town and charging them back at home.
In the end, all this hustling has proven to be instrumental in my real estate investing journey as I own/am a partner on 83 units around the US.
$20 here, $60 there...it ALL adds up. And if invested properly, IT GROWS!
Diversifying your income and not having to rely solely on your 9-5 job is a damn smart strategy. And I'll always be looking at more ways to bring in income. You should too.
I now have an ambitious goal.
And my friend Nick is along for the ride. Or should we say...the competition...
We're brainstorming ideas, creating side hustles, learning to monetize, experimenting with online business, freelancing, and so much more.
We're racing each other to generate an additional $2,000/month each by July 31st.
Oh yeah, and this income has to be made through side hustles and outside of our Real Estate investments and W2 jobs.
Stay tuned and follow this new VIDEO SERIES as we dive into our journeys, our minds, our very different strategies, and our challenges...in pursuit of an ambitious financial goal.
