Just do it. Take Action! JUMP IN! The theme of "get off your butt, and jump in!" routinely arises in every Real Estate podcast I listen to, blog I read, and mentor I speak with. As someone who religiously works off of a "to-do" list, I've had the task of "real estate investing" taunting me for over a year. That's changing tomorrow. I'm making a move. I'm excited, nervous, and have no idea what to expect. The potential of "passive income" has finally pushed me to take action. I'm determined to build monthly cash flow for a future of financial freedom, more time with family and friends, the ability to travel whenever, and work on my own schedule. And to be 100% honest right now, my dream (in the next few years), is to purchase a van, renovate it into a living space, and live the now super trendy #VanLife. With a handful of performing properties, systems in place, and low expenses, I know it's totally doable.
In 24 hours, I have a call with an investment company that specializes in selling "Turnkey" properties. They target investors looking to acquire renovated properties that they professionally manage. They oversee acquisition, renovation, tenant placing, and property management. In short, they take the stress, workload, and headaches out of investing...or so they say! But, could that be too good to be true? Is that unrealistic? And, why am I jumping into REAL ESTATE? Well, that's a question I'm still trying to answer myself. *UPDATE* - I've got my reason HERE in this two-part blog post! But, as a San Francisco Bay Area resident, I see the overwhelming opportunity in rental properties. I'm forced to pay an absurd amount in rent every month, while my landlord gets a check mailed to their door monthly. There is true potential there. I see increased net worth. I see performing assets. I see real estate investing as the road to financial freedom. I want in! I'm hoping tomorrow's conversation will solidify a new investment strategy and support my long-term financial goals. Is it the right move? I'll never know until I JUMP IN. -Tyler
